Anolis at ARC 09
Anolis kicked off 2009 on a very positive note, with another eye-catching exhibition stand, exciting new products and plenty of interest at the ARC show in London.
The exhibition, aimed at showcasing lighting and special effects for all aspects of designed and built environments, expanded in size and moved to Earls Court 2 Exhibition Centre for the first time.
New Anolis products on display included the ArcPower 384 rack mount, the ArcPad 3•48 Integral and the ArcPower 9 and ArcPower 12.
The ArcPower 348 Rack Mount sets new standards in LED driver technology, with 8 individually controllable outputs and compatibility with DMX, RDM, ArtNet and DyNet protocols for the most flexible options for advanced LED installations.
The ArcPad 3•48 Integral is a compact version of Anolis’ popular ArcPad 3•48 “brick” fixture. The base of the fixture includes an inbuilt power supply and an intelligent LED driver that simplifies both cabling and installation.
Anolis ArcPower 9 and 12 provide the perfect complement to the existing ArcPower range. They are designed specifically for installations where DMX control/dimming is not required, providing a simple and economical power solution for the Anolis ArcSource range.
ArcPad integral attracted the most interest, reports Anolis’s John Saunders, who led the team for the 2 day show. “It’s the combination of the compact and powerful Rebel LED technology with onboard power plus DMX and RDM control that impressed everyone,” he reports. The result is a vastly reduced installation process and – consequently - lower installation costs – which is very much a consideration at the present time.
The team were generally very happy with the visitor attendance and quality, “We saw virtually all our existing customers who we were expecting - lighting designers, architects, consultants and installers – and a healthy crop of new contacts,” says Saunders.
The overall mood of the exhibition was upbeat, with a great turnout the first day despite snow, sleet, black ice and generally abysmal weather conditions that ground much of the UK to a standstill!
