Melbourne Museum, located in Carlton Gardens in state capital Melbourne, is the largest museum in the Southern hemisphere, offering 7 main galleries and a choice of several unique permanent exhibits as well as special temporary projects.

In the Science and Life Gallery, Anolis ArcPad 48 RGBW wash lights are used to paint the skeletons of dinosaurs and other giant prehistoric animals in saturated colours.

The ArcPad 48 is a high quality, robustly engineered fixture designed exactly for the generation of rich, saturated colours and colour changing effects and is popular for numerous  architectural applications. Its projected minimum lifespan of 60.000 hours and low maintenance requirements makes it ideal for installations.

The 600 Million Years of Victoria exhibition tells the story of Victoria’s evolution. In this space, more ArcPad 48 fixtures are used to create a special ambience while visitors explore the geological time scale and learn more about the plants, animals and environmental evolution of Victoria over millions of years.

The ArcPad 48s were supplied by Anolis' Australian distributor, the ULA Group, whose Marcel Takac comments: “The Museum originally installed Anolis ArcPad 48s for one exhibit, and the feedback was so positive that they didn’t hesitate to specify these fixtures again. The quality of light output is exceptional and the LED fixtures deliver a cost-efficient, energy conscious solution, which is very beneficial to a busy and popular attraction”.
