The Penthouse Club is the largest gentlemen's club in the Reno-Tahoe area and is  characterized by the style and quality associated with one of the most globally famous adult brands. The multi-million dollar facility is adjacent to the Reno-Tahoe Airport and is the only Penthouse-branded adult entertainment establishment in Nevada.

The interior design and extensive lighting scheme was created by David Chesal, a specialist in the genre of illuminating upscale adult venues with elegance and discretion.

The entire venue has been designed and fitted out with a sophisticated blend of contemporary and classical decor and aesthetics, with no details left untouched. The same premium standards have been applied to the lighting, and this is one reason that Chesal specified the Anolis brand, together with about 60 Robe moving lights throughout the venue.

Architectural and feature lighting is prominent everywhere in the Penthouse Club, encompassing the stages, bars, dancefloors, dining areas, staircases, balconies, private elements, elevators and toilets, bottle shelves, reception desk, coat check and of course the exterior.

As Chesal explains, light is used as an absolutely "Vital" medium for creating mood and providing a comfortable atmosphere as well as a bit of a sense of anticipation. Flexibility is fundamental to the lighting design, allowing it to be constantly changing and able to 'go-with-the-flow'.

Apart from wanting a quality lighting brand which could be delivered on time and to the budget - which although substantial was not bottomless! - Chesal chose Anolis because of reliability, and also because he has used it very successfully on previous high profile projects.

"I needed a brand with a wide and dynamic variety of sources to choose from, so I could light everything from a single bottle to a complete room," he clarifies, commenting on the diversity of the Anolis range.

He has used the Anolis fixtures for multiple tasks from effects lighting in the bars and numerous other spaces to practical lighting around the reception and work areas. Even the iced bar top "drink rinks" are illuminated.

He adds, "The superior colours and richness of the Anolis lightsources are perfect for the job". The homogenized light engine, cutting edge LEDs and innovative optics also give exceptionally smooth dimming and colour changing and a fabulous range of pastels as well as opulent, rich saturates.

Apart from all these advantages, the power saving and low ongoing maintenance costs to the club by investing in a large LED installation are significant.

The lighting  installation work was undertaken by Sound Stage Systems from Connecticut, headed by Karl Kieslich, working in close collaboration with David Chesal and his team.
