Anolis reaches for The Skyline
A new Anolis architectural lighting installation has been completed in the refurbished Skyline Bar at the Hilton Hotel in Molino Stucky, Venezia, Italy.
The hotel is located on the island of Giudecca in the south of Venice, near the city centre and with commanding views over the surrounding area and water. The Hotel's technical department wanted to create a very special ambience in which visitors can enjoy the Skyline environment - which also includes a restaurant - to the maximum, and decided that an imaginative lighting scheme was the key.
The installation was carried out by Padova-based Altair SRL, using Anolis Arcline Outdoor 18 and ArcSource Outdoor 3 and 7 products, all specified by Altair's Tondello Pietro.
He has used Anolis on many other projects, and knew that the excellent quality of Anolis was just right for this application. He also recommended Anolis because of the high efficiency of the light output and the low power consumption. The hotel stipulated that the installation should be as maintenance-free as possible, and in addition to making nice effects, it also had to provide enough practical lighting for diners.
Twenty Anolis ArcSource 3s are fitted on the short sided wall of the bar and 14 ArcSource 7s on the long sided wall. Ensconced between the tables and flower-pots are 18 ArcLine 18s near the viewing platform.
Yellow, magenta and pink are the main pre-set colours, used in combination with red, blue and green base colours.
Pietro comments, "These fixtures are very powerfull, reliable and also 100% adaptable, so perfect for this type of illumination".
